Flag Day Connection

Our first Democracy by Design event in 2025 was held on June 14 to coincide with Flag Day. Flag Day commemorates Congressional approval of the design of our very first flag, in 1777. Great design is at the heart of most things we appreciate - whether art, a flag, or our democracy itself.
